A news story on CNN speaks about a new show to be aired on Turkish television, wherein a contestant listens to an Islamic imam, Catholic priest, Jewish rabbi and Buddhist monk (no, this is not the start of a bad joke) and chooses to be "converted." The story is here.
So, after reading the story, what are your thoughts? Do you feel that it's funny, or irreverent? Gutsy or dangerous?

Oh, boy. What fun.

Really, I have said before, it is funny. At the same time, it is sad. First, it is pitting four of the great religions against each other. Second, how long will the atheist stay with one that he choses. To chose ones path takes time and energy and time and energy may be wasted with this.
Teddy - I agree that "to choose one's path takes time and energy." I don't know the details of the show, but one can assume the atheist doesn't have to choose any of the religions presented. It seems to me that the show is less about getting the atheist to choose a path but getting people to argue about religion, which is something people would want to watch. If that is the case, then it is, in the end, wasted energy, as you say.
Hi, Im from Australia.
What if all of the options are false, with perhaps the Buddhist one being the closest to the Truth about the nature of Reality?
